The last few years have seen MC Strategy evolve and adapt to the ever-changing UK Music scene; being a resident at Manchester’s HIT&RUN exposed him to a lot of the key players, and news travelled fast about the classiness of his act. In a short amount of time, he has ended up with regular work at clubbing institutions like Fabric, Hospitality, Outlook and Warehouse Project, and a busy Europe-wide touring schedule. Once witnessed in his element, promoters are quickly on the phone to re-acquire his services. The track “Marka” with long-time Collaborator Dub Phizix, Skeptical was the biggest 170bpm anthem in years, and has championed by the likes of Sir David Rodigan, Mistajam, Friction, Goldie and many more; but he is no-one trick pony, and plenty more tracks are in the pipeline. He also works increasingly as a mentor to a lot of the North’s young talent, and his recently revived label Estate Recordings is now the home to a cluster of seriously talented artists.
